LGBT news has off late been a talking point around the world with various social, legal, and religious changes being made in different countries. While gay love has been in existence since the advent of man, the basic LGBT right to same sex marriage has been a source of much debate especially within the Church of England where it was recently decided that priests would not be permitted to bless LGBT people who wanted same-sex unions. The news has come as a great blow to the community at large and has disappointed a number of progressive priests who are open to the idea of treating same-sex couples in exactly the same manner as they would treat and pray for straight couples.

In the latest LGBT news, the father
of gay athlete Belle Brockhoff has sold off his ticket to the Winter
Olympics in disgust because of a distinct lack of respect for his gay daughter.
Bruce Brockhoff says that his daughter was not given the same training
facilities as the other athletes and that there were other funding discrepancies
that led to this decision. The news was reported by the Sydney Morning Herald.
Belle Brockhoff is one of the many famous gay celebrities competing at
the Olympics. Various gay athletes have already done well at the Sochi
Olympics.

Anderson Cooper Proclaimed Loudly that Being Gay is a Blessing
Anderson Cooper recently proclaimed that being gay was a blessing. He was speaking about his career as a journalist at the University of Texas at Arlington. He spoke as part of the university’s maverick speakers series. Cooper wore his trademark black glasses at the event. He also spoke about events in his personal life like his father’s death when he was ten years old and his brother’s suicide in front of their mother Gloria Vaderbilt, while Cooper was a college student. Cooper who is in his unique reading glasses, spoke in light of NFL prospect Michael Sam’s coming out announcement in Sunday. Sam is one of the very few openly gay college football players. He joins a growing number of famous gay celebrities.
