The Best LGBT Choral Groups for the Coming Holiday

The Best LGBT Choral Groups for the Coming Holiday

A number of LGBT choral groups have come up which are playing an important role in the creation and maintenance of an LGBT musical tradition.
These groups play an important role in bringing LGBT people to the attention of others. They are helping to enliven Christmas Day with their music and lively performances. An LGBT group has been formed in a number of areas and plays a crucial role in the performances occurring every holiday season, giving another facet to holiday music. These gay men’s and mixed LGBT choruses are becoming a kind of holiday tradition in different areas.

The Hallelujah Chorus from South Florida was classical and moving. On the other hand, a very colourful and challenging chorus happened in Fort Lauderdale with the singers dressed in elf costumes. Minority racial groups like the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington have helped to give a voice to African Americans and have created an alternative musical genre and voice. A rather humorous chorus was Chanukah in Santa Monica. It lent a light touch to the proceedings. Equally humorous was the Sydney Chorus who emphasized the difference between hemispheres. The San Francisco gay men’s chorus was also very touching and moving. In London, coming out Christmas was a very moving rendition of the choir. The chorus in Chicago was very graceful, while the one in Seattle was rather edgy. These choirs lent a very moving and varied edge to the holiday season.
