Cynthia Nixon and Christine Marinoni appeared to be any normal couple as they walk out in public with their children. These two serve as hope for the gay community; this couple gives off a normal family loving, law abiding image to their peers as they go on with their everyday lives.
Although well-known in Hollywood, Cynthia Nixon and Christine Marinoni are basically normal gay people living everyday humble lives. These two have been together as a couple since the year 2004 and got engaged in 2009. They finally got married in May 2012, a huge milestone for the fight for gay marriage rights.
Cynthia Nixon is often seen in public with her three children. Two of her children, aged 9 and 15, were born to her during her relationship with their father Danny Mozes. She also has a two year old son with her partner.
The image that Cynthia Nixon and her wife portray in everyday life is not much more different than ‘straight’ life. Gay life is often portrayed as to be radically different than heterosexual relationships. Cynthia Nixon as a wife makes us see her differently than we see her on the red carpet for award ceremonies.
