Rupert Everett: Gay Actors Should Not Come Out Publically

Gay Actors Should Not Come Out Publically
So Rupert Everett stirred the pot in 2009 when he did an interview with the BBC. This controversial homosexual actor had an interview with the BBC’s Stephen Sackur concerning homosexual actors in the Hollywood community.
Even though he is gay, he expressed disapproval of gays coming out and that he cannot think of ‘anything worse’ than being brought up by two homosexual dads. This belief has attracted the ire of many people residing in the United States and Great Britain.

Rupert Everett is one of many famous gay celebrities, which is why his comments come as a shock for many people. For his fans who asked themselves ‘Is Rupert Everett gay?’, he officially came out twenty years ago. In interview, he recommended that many gay actors ‘stay in the closet’ as it ‘would harm their career’. Although many say that it is a natural gay right for famous gay people to come out, Rupert stresses that many people are still against homosexuality and because of this, it would be best if they didn’t come out as it may harm their career.

His declaration against gay actors coming out comes almost a year before Sherlock Holmes actor Andrew Scott publically comes out as gay. Fans of Andrew Scott will see if this statement by Rupert Everett is actually true.
